Salary: $200,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year

Overview:

​

The Operations Director will assist the Managing Director in the management of the Subcontractor’s

mission operations. In addition to supporting and serving as backup for the Managing Director. The core

function of this role is to own all aspects of either country specific operations, ground operations,

outreach operations, operational technology and/or special ops. This role and its various functions oversee

the operational activities of the organization and its subcontractors. As the Operations Director, you will

be involved in a range of strategic planning and internal initiatives to ensure that logistical operations are

well-coordinated and synchronized with all other sectors of operations by managing its procedures and

coaching its people. The area of responsibility for this role is very wide and thus requires thorough

knowledge of various company processes. The ideal candidate must be competent in a broad spectrum of

logistics operations and be and to plan and link those efforts with a variety of operational activities on

compressed timelines in multiple countries. He/She must be an excellent leader who can discover the

most efficient ways to run ground logistics operations under a variety of conditions.

A. General

​

This is a full-time FLSA exempt position, that will report to the Managing Director and work closely

with other department heads to ensure the overall success of the project.

​

B. Duties and Responsibilities:

​

• You will manage a variety of logistics and security-focused activities and teams with diverse

skillsets responsible for the following:

• Facilitating the successful air operations and on-ground trip logistics for an international travel

program.

• Developing correspondence, task orders, instructions, and directives necessary to ensure effective

communication, delivery, and implementation of all assigned outreach activities.

• Manage and track multiple logistics programs simultaneously including transportation, technical

support, lodging, and integration with both air and ground movement plans.

• Recognizing Project Critical Information Requirements (PCIRs), categorizing and disseminating

critical information to the project and corporate leadership and staff, regional operational nodes,

and deployed operational teams.

• Liaise with senior Leadership to include internal and external stakeholders to make decisions for

operational activities and set strategic goals.

• You will ensure departmental adherence to standard operating procedures and implement new

protocols and procedures in response to expanding/changing requirements.

• You will prepare reports for medical, operations, finance, and other departments.

• You will plan and monitor the day-to-day outreach operations to ensure smooth progress.

• You will supervise, support, manage, and train current and future outreach personnel to

accomplish their assigned responsibilities.

• You will exercise leadership during company meetings, briefings, and events.

• You will manage project timelines and deliverables related to mission deployments, ensuring that

all operations align with the current contractual agreement and standards of innovation and

efficiency. You will continuously evolve and review the departmental structure, teams, and

processes for optimal and efficient operations.

• You will identify and solve problems in real time - collaborate with internal & external

stakeholders and partners to create solutions for problems as they arise across all aspects of our

operations (e.g. outreach, air, healthcare).

• You will Develop team members by providing leadership, strategic support, motivation and

mentoring to advance their growth and development.

• You will attend all daily meetings/briefings prepared to speak, report, present, and support the

business objectives of the client and the executive leadership team.

C. Skills and Qualifications:

​

• A bachelor’s degree in business administration or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus.

• Hands on experience in supporting the development of an emerging, high growth government

contract and proven experience as Director of Operations or equivalent position.

• Proven experience as a logistics-focused project/program manager

• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities

• Outstanding communication and people skills

• Knowledge of industry’s legal rules and guidelines

• Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics

• Familiarity with MS Office and various business software (e.g. Salesforce, CRM)

D. Clearance Requirements:

• US Citizenship required.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a government issued suitability clearance.
